The Hill: Trump fires top aide for ‘bad behavior’

A top aide to President Donald Trump has been fired for “bad behavior” on social media.

The Washington Post reported on Monday that David Urban, a senior adviser to the president and former campaign manager, was fired over “poor leadership” during the election, according to the statement.

Urban, who was in his first term as the top aide, was “the president’s highest-ranking strategist for the past four years,” according to Politico.

“It is with deep regret that we have to announce David Urban has been terminated as Chief Strategist and Senior Advisor,” the statement read.

“His poor leadership has hurt the Trump administration, his supporters, and the American people.”

Urban’s firing comes just one day after Trump announced his first-ever travel ban targeting Muslim-majority countries and immigration from Iran and Libya.

The administration is now facing a lawsuit by the American Civil Liberties Union challenging the ban as unconstitutional.
